Sammy Cova, Orange County Riptide

Rising senior left-hander Sammy Cova was named CCL Pitcher of the Week from June 15 to June 21 thanks to his four-inning, 6-strikeout performance against the Conejo Oaks in a dominant 12–2 win. Cova scattered two hits and one walk without allowing a run. 

Coming from the University of Utah, Cova’s ERA sits at a minuscule 1.00 through 9 innings spanning three appearances (two starts). In his nine innings of work, he has struck out nine, and his WHIP sits at .78.
