Toni Vasell, Sonoma Stompers

A rising sophomore at the University of San Francisco, Tino Vasell had a phenomenal week at the dish. The infielder went 11-for-19 with seven RBIs and seven walks. Vasell added a double, a triple, and a home run on top of reaching base 18 times. Vasell is now hitting .349 with 26 RBIs, 26 runs, eight stolen bases, and four home runs. His 26 RBIs are the third most in the CCL, and he is tied for the league lead in long balls. 

Vasell’s performance was highlighted by a 4-for-5 day against the Alameda Merchants with a triple, three RBIs, and a walk. In his next start, he followed that up with a 3-for-4 day against the Philippines Baseball Group with three more RBIs. 

Vasell's standout week helped propel the Stompers to a 6–0 week, and the Sonoma club has now won eight games in a row, the longest winning streak in the CCL.
