Founded in 2014, the Stompers originally competed as a professional independent team in the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs. During their time in the Pacific Association, the Stompers earned a championship in 2016 and national attention for unique moments that highlighted the game's inclusive spirit.
In 2022, Sonoma officially joined the California Collegiate League, bringing their deep baseball culture into Collegiate summer ball and committing to a player-development focus that mirrors the league's mission of preparing future professionals.
