Greater Nevada Field will be the place to celebrate America's 250th birthday this Fourth of July with a full evening of baseball, family-friendly activities, and fireworks in Downtown Reno.
The Reno Aces are hosting America 250 at Greater Nevada Field on July 4, featuring pregame entertainment, plaza activities, a California Collegiate League All-Star Game, and the biggest fireworks show of the season.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy a packed schedule of activities before first pitch at 6:35 p.m. From 4 to 6 p.m., carnival games will be available on the front plaza, including ring toss, balloon darts, frog-flinging games, and more. A pregame DJ will also be playing upstairs from 4:30 to 6 p.m., with happy hour specials including $3 Coors Lights and Aceball Ales.
Gates open at 5 p.m., giving fans the chance to meet players from both teams during a pregame autograph session. The evening will also feature a Stars vs. Stripes Home Run Derby, where fans can pick a side and cheer on their favorite competitors.
Another highlight of the night will be a pie eating contest, with divisions for men, women, and children. Participants will race against the clock in a fun, festive competition perfect for the holiday celebration.
The main event of the evening will be the California Collegiate League All-Star Game, featuring a Stars vs. Stripes matchup. The CCL is known for showcasing top college baseball talent and future professional prospects. Many players who have competed in the league have gone on to play at the Major League level, including Reno Aces outfielder Dominic Fletcher.
First pitch for the Stars vs. Stripes matchup is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Fans who are unable to attend in person can watch the game live on the California Collegiate League YouTube account.

The night will conclude with the Aces' largest fireworks show of the year, lighting up the sky over Greater Nevada Field in celebration of Independence Day and America's 250th birthday.
In addition to the entertainment, fans will have the opportunity to support civics education through a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit America250 scholarships for Nevada high school seniors and educators who demonstrate excellence in civics education and community engagement.
